Alaska Airlines flies 1,300 daily flights to 116 destinations. In February, Alaska debuted retrofitted interiors of the Airbus planes it inherited as part of its 2017 acquisition of Virgin America. In March, Alaska flew the first commercial flight out of Paine Field, located just north of the carrier's home base of Seattle. July brought the opening of Alaska's 15,800-square-foot marquee lounge at Seattle's SeaTac Airport.
