The first Avianca flight into Reid Airport on July 15 marked the beginning of the airline's seasonal, nonstop air service from El Salvador to Las Vegas.

The service will offer travelers three weekly flights from San Salvador Airport to Las Vegas, providing more than 4,000 seats per week. It concludes on Sept. 19.

In 2022, Las Vegas welcomed 148,920 visitors from South America, a 183.2% increase from 2021 but still down 34.8% from prepandemic figures in 2019.

Las Vegas currently has nonstop service from 148 markets served by 15 airlines flying domestically and 17 flying internationally.
