In 2017, Crystal Cruises reduced the capacity of its Crystal Symphony from 922 to 848 passengers to allow for single-seating dining. The 1,080-passenger Crystal Serenity is getting a similar treatment this year. It cut steel this year for the first of three 800-passenger Diamond-class ships, the first of which is due in 2022. In addition to the 31-suite luxury yacht, the Crystal Esprit, more expedition ships are on the horizon.
