Following what was, for many travel companies, a record-breaking year, executives we spoke to expect not just more of the same, but better yet.
Double-digit growth, possible M&A activity and organic expansion are all on the agenda. Covid concerns appear to have been consigned to the rearview mirror.
This year, we focused on companies that operate in more than one travel vertical: Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO of Preferred Travel Group oversees four hotel brands and two consulting groups, including one focused on sustainability; Roeland Vos, CEO of Belmond, has a portfolio that comprises hotels, trains, canal barges, boats, safaris and restaurants; Valerie Dorsey, founder of Charmed Vacations (Cruise Planners), sells all aspects of leisure travel; and Andrew N. Todd is CEO of the Xanterra Travel Collection, which holds national park concessions and lodges, a cruise line and tour operations.
