The Norwegian line Hurtigruten separated its expedition side from its domestic side. Hurtigruten Expeditions' eight ships visit destinations such as Alaska, Greenland, Svalbard and Antarctica. Hurtigruten Norway sails the Norwegian coastal routes it has operated since 1893. Its newest expedition ships, the 530-passenger Roald Amundsen and the Fridtjof Nansen, employ a hybrid system with battery power.
