Mandarin Oriental launched in 1963 with the opening of its flagship property in Hong Kong. Today, it operates 32 hotels and seven residences in 23 countries and territories. Most recently, the brand announced that it would be renovating and rebranding the Hotel Palace Luzern in Switzerland, with plans to reopen the property as the Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern by the end of 2020.
