Having acquired Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2016, Marriott International is the world's largest hotel group, overseeing more than 7,000 hotels across more than 132 countries and territories. Among the largest of Marriott's 30 brands are its Courtyard and Fairfield Inn select-service badges as well as its Marriott and Sheraton brands. This year, Marriott International announced a major expansion into the all-inclusive sector, recently unveiling plans for five all-inclusives in Mexico and the Dominican Republic and acquiring the Elegant Hotels Group on Barbados.
