Honolulu-based Outrigger, which was acquired by private-equity group KSL Capital Partners in 2016, owns and/or manages approximately 37 hotels, resorts and vacation condos in Hawaii, Fiji, Thailand, Guam, Mauritius and the Maldives, and the company has been expanding its collection in recent years. In August, the company purchased Maui’s Honua Kai Resort and Spa, rebranding it Hawaii Vacation Condos by Outrigger. Outrigger announced plans to expand the property with an additional 72 luxury townhomes by 2020.
