Crown's Edge, a thrill experience on Royal Caribbean International's new Icon of the Seas, will cost $89.99 per person, reports Cruise Industry News

Crown's Edge is part of the Thrill Island concept on the Icon. After riders are strapped in, they step onto a walkway for what Royal Caribbean calls a "fear-inducing challenge that's part skywalk, part obstacle course, part thrill ride and an all-out test of courage."

The course culminates in a surprising moment -- the floor beneath the rider's feet gives way -- and the rider is left dangling 154 feet above the water, near the ship's iconic crown-and-anchor emblem.

The activity is one new feature on the Icon, the largest cruise ship built to date at 250,800 gross tons. Thrill Island will also feature six waterslides in what Royal Caribbean calls the largest waterpark at sea.

The Icon's maiden cruise departs Miami on Jan. 27.
