The brand was founded by John Jacob Astor with the landmark St. Regis Hotel, New York in 1904 and joined the Marriott International fold in 2016. In October, St. Regis announced that it had broken ground on the St. Regis Cap Cana Resort & Residences, set to be the luxury flag's first property in the Dominican Republic.
