Dreaming of a New Year's Eve wedding, Vegas-style? Saying "I do" in front of Elvis, or a trip down the aisle at the Little White Wedding Chapel? Clark County just made it a lot easier, by creating a popup marriage license bureau at Las Vegas' Harry Reid Airport from Dec. 26 to 31.

New Year's Eve this year is expected to be a particularly popular wedding day because of its unique date: 12/31/23, or 1-2-3-1-2-3.

The popup bureau will be located near baggage claim at Terminal 1. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, enabling couples to skip a trip downtown to get marriage licenses.

At the temporary office, couples can get marriage licenses and vow renewal certificates. Credit card and debit payments will be accepted. Pre-applications can be filled out online to further speed the process, but couples will still need to show valid identification. Marriage licenses are $102.

This is the fifth time Clark County has operated out of the airport. In the past, interesting dates have drawn large crowds of couples looking to tie the knot in Las Vegas: On July 7, 2007, known as "Lucky 7s" day, nearly 4,500 couples were married, and on Nov. 11, 2011, 3,125 couples said "I do." Last year on Feb. 2, 2022, the county recorded 2,331 marriages, the sixth most popular date.

"We always strive to make the process as easy as possible for couples, and bringing the pop-up marriage license bureau to the airport streamlines the process for couples, allowing them more time to experience Las Vegas' wonderful New Year's Eve excitement," said Clark County clerk Lynn Marie Goya. "New Year's Eve is already one of Las Vegas' most popular wedding dates, and adding the magic date of 1-2-3-1-2-3 gives couples even more to celebrate on this historic night."

Couples can also get their marriage documents at the main office of the marriage license bureau, located at 201 E. Clark St. in Las Vegas. It operates from 8 a.m. to midnight every day, including holidays.

Clark County issues around 80,000 marriage licenses each year.
